News Notes July 2021

It is hard to believe that it is already July with warm weather, sunny days & some storms. We are so happy to see consumers coming back to program. It is a sign that we are moving away from the COVID storm.

The Future is looking good for all of us because the Covid-19 vaccine has been well distributed and has been proven to be effective. We do not know the future, but we can have faith & hope that life will go own after the pandemic. We do not have everything under control in life. In a very ancient Psalm, it states “You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.”

Again, if you have a loved one who can't attend in person, Arkay has virtual skill building (VSB) which can assist your loved one. I want to emphasize VSB because it would be so good for your love one to interact & learn with others during this time period. We have a great team who has put together a great curriculum for the people we serve. I really think you would enjoy being part of this program. These sessions have been very welcomed by our participants. Our team is very dedicated to helping our consumers to connect with others using technology.

There will be a great variety of class discussions. It is very enjoyable. We are using the BOOM software which has a great variety of classes. Note: we can use these classes both virtually and in program.

At the end of the day, we want two things from you:

1. We want you to be satisfied with our services, & 2. We want to let you know how much we appreciate you for choosing Arkay.

Please feel free to call with any questions. We would be glad to assist & serve you in any way possible. The number is 734-282-8055.

Further, Arkay Incorporated is proud to announce our partnership with Charity Roaster. Arkay is able to provide you and your loved ones with delicious bags of Arkay Coffee available in an assortment of flavors. All Proceeds go toward furthering Arkay's mission to service the developmentally disabled and to support our consumers. Each bag is 12oz. of ground or whole bean coffee and all blends cost $15. It comes in 8 varieties. Please visit www.miarkay.org/arkay-coffee.

Lastly, please consider setting aside part of your budget to support the work of Arkay with a tax-deductible charitable donation. We’ve simplified the donation procedure, allowing supporters to donate online or by mail. Visit www.miarkay.org to make a gift using a credit card or send a check to Arkay. Make a difference today. We thank you in advance for responding to this need.

Very Sincerely,
